Tiffin Bag & Insulated Lunch Bag Manufacturers in Mumbai
We manufacture insulated tiffin carriers and lunch bags in bulk from our own Mumbai line — built around your tiffin, with the foam grade, food-grade lining and seam construction stated in the quotation rather than described as “insulated”. Supplied to corporate gifting, schools, retail labels and meal-prep brands, with no fixed minimum order quantity.

Five Things That Decide Performance.
“Insulated” on a quotation means nothing on its own. Two bags that look identical can hold temperature for very different lengths of time depending on five decisions, four of which are invisible once the bag is assembled. These are the ones to ask about.
Foam Core
3–10 mmEPE or PE foam between outer and liner. Thickness is the single biggest driver of how long food holds temperature — and the easiest place to cut cost invisibly.
Ask what thickness is quotedInner Lining
Foil / PEVA / TPUAluminium foil reflects heat and wipes clean. PEVA is PVC-free and softer. TPU is the most durable and the easiest to wash repeatedly.
Food-contact grade on requestSeam Construction
The leak pointStitched liners leak through the needle holes — every time. Taped or heat-sealed seams do not. This is the difference between a bag that survives a spill and one that ruins a laptop.
Specify sealed if spills matterClosure
Where heat escapesZip with a storm flap holds temperature best. Velcro is cheaper and faster but leaks air. Roll-top with a buckle seals well and costs little.
Closure beats foam on short carriesIce-Pack Sleeve
Cold retentionA dedicated gel-pack pocket keeps the pack off the food and doubles effective cold-hold time. Costs almost nothing to add.
Highest impact per rupeeOn retention claims: nobody can honestly promise “keeps food hot for X hours” as a product property. Retention depends on foam thickness, closure type, fill volume, how hot the food went in, ambient temperature and whether the bag was pre-warmed or pre-chilled. What we will do is measure it on your approved sample with your actual tiffin and your actual fill, and give you the figures we recorded. If a supplier quotes you an hours figure without asking what you are carrying, they are guessing.
What You Can Specify.
Insulated bags are the one category where the important parts are hidden inside the assembly. This is the full range we build to, stated so you can compare quotations on the same terms.
| Tiffin fit | Built to 2, 3 and 4-tier stainless tiffins, round or rectangular, and to compartment or bento boxes. Send us the tiffin or its exact diameter and stacked height — tier counts are not standardised between brands. |
|---|---|
| Insulation | EPE or PE foam from 3 mm to 10 mm, quoted by thickness. Thicker foam holds longer and adds bulk, so the trade-off is yours to make. |
| Inner lining | Aluminium foil, PEVA (PVC-free) or TPU. Food-contact-grade material can be specified; if you need documentary confirmation for retail or export, raise it at enquiry so the right material is sourced from the start. |
| Seam construction | Stitched, taped or heat-sealed. Sealed seams are the only ones that reliably contain a spill — specify them if the bag travels in another bag. |
| Outer material | 600D / 900D polyester, canvas, cotton, jute, laminated non-woven, PU & vegan leather for gifting tiers. |
| Closure | Zip with storm flap, velcro, drawcord, roll-top with buckle, or magnetic flap depending on the format and the hold time needed. |
| Extras | Ice-pack sleeve, cutlery slot, napkin pocket, condiment pouch, removable washable liner, sewn-in name and ID panel. |
| Handles & straps | Webbing top handles, detachable shoulder strap, side grab handle, or a top handle sized to hang from a school bag hook. |
| Cleaning | Wipe-clean liners as standard; removable liner option where the bag will be used daily and needs proper washing. |
| Branding | Screen print, sublimation, heat transfer, embroidery, woven label, rubber patch — and per-unit names for school or staff issue. |
| Packing | Poly bag per unit, printed carton, hangtag, barcode or EAN sticker, gift-boxed with a container or bottle where the order is a kit. |
| Documentation | GST invoice, e-way bill, packing list and export documentation for international consignments. |
MOQ, Fit Sampling & Retention Testing
Order Quantity
No fixed MOQ. Pilot batches to validate fit and hold time, and high-volume runs for gifting or institutional issue. Ask for pricing across two or three quantities and two foam thicknesses so you can see both trade-offs at once.
Send Us the Tiffin
Tier counts are not standardised, so a “3-tier” from one brand is not the same size as another. Post us the tiffin, or send its diameter and stacked height, and we cut the pattern to it and fit-check the sample before you sign off.
Retention Measured, Not Promised
We test the approved sample with your tiffin and your fill, and report the figures we recorded rather than a marketing number. You then know what your recipients will actually experience.
Lead Time & Dispatch
Confirmed in writing at sample approval. Heat-sealed liners and specific food-grade materials can add sourcing time. Delivery across Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai, pan-India freight for bulk.
Ten Lines That Get You a Firm Price
Two lines matter most here: what the bag has to hold, and how long it has to hold temperature. Everything else follows from those.
- Quantity — and any tiers you want priced separately
- Format — tiffin carrier, lunch tote, casserole bag or cooler
- Tiffin or container dimensions, or the unit itself for fit-checking
- Foam thickness, or the hold time you are trying to achieve
- Lining preference — foil, PEVA or TPU
- Whether sealed seams are required
- Closure type, and whether an ice-pack sleeve is wanted
- Outer material and colour references
- Branding method, positions and per-unit names if needed
- Whether it ships as a bag alone or a boxed gifting kit

Built Like a Supplier You Can Re-Order From.
Insulated bags get judged the first time food arrives cold or a lid leaks. These are the reasons buyers stop shopping around.
Cut to Your Tiffin, Not a Standard
Tier counts differ between brands. We build the pattern around the actual unit so the lid closes and the tiffin does not rattle or jam.
We Measure Retention
Tested on your approved sample with your fill, and reported as recorded figures. Nobody can promise hours without knowing what is inside.
Sealed Seams Offered Openly
Stitched liners leak through the needle holes. We name the seam type on the quotation instead of leaving you to find out after the first spill.
Food-Contact Materials Specified
Foil, PEVA or TPU stated explicitly, with food-contact grade available on request — and raised at sourcing if you need documentation for retail or export.
Reorder Consistency
Approved samples, foam grade and shade references retained, so a top-up matches the batch already issued.
One Point of Contact
The same person handles your quote, sample, production update and dispatch — no handovers mid-order.

Insulated Sourcing Questions
There is no honest single answer, and be cautious of any supplier who gives you one without asking questions. Retention depends on foam thickness, closure type, fill volume, the starting temperature of the food, the ambient temperature and whether the bag was pre-warmed or pre-chilled. What we do is measure it on your approved sample with your actual tiffin and fill, and report the figures we recorded.
Two, three and four-tier stainless tiffins, round and rectangular, plus compartment and bento boxes. Tier counts are not standardised between brands, so a “3-tier” varies in diameter and stacked height. Post us the tiffin or send those two measurements and we cut the pattern to it.
Aluminium foil reflects heat well, wipes clean and is the most economical. PEVA is PVC-free and softer, which suits children’s products. TPU is the most durable and handles repeated washing best, which matters for daily use and subscription services. Cost rises in that order.
Almost always through the liner seams. A stitched liner has needle holes along every seam, and liquid finds them. Taped or heat-sealed seams do not have that path. If the bag travels inside a laptop bag or a school bag, specify sealed seams — it is a small cost difference and it removes the complaint entirely.
Food-contact-grade foil, PEVA and TPU can all be specified. Tell us at enquiry if you need documentary confirmation for retail listing or export, so the material is sourced with that in mind from the start rather than substituted later.
Liners are wipe-clean as standard. For daily-use products — school issue or meal subscription — specify a removable liner so it can be washed properly. It adds a little to cost and considerably to product life.
Scale and duty cycle. These are personal and gifting-scale carriers — one meal, one person. Commercial last-mile bags for riders and cloud kitchens are larger, heavier-built and designed for many hours of daily use, and sit on our delivery bags page.
