School Bag Manufacturers in Mumbai
We manufacture school bags in bulk from our own Mumbai line — age-graded across four bands, with contoured padded straps, reinforced bases, reflective safety trim and your school crest embroidered or printed. Supplied to schools, uniform outfitters, CSR programmes and retail labels, with no fixed minimum order quantity.
Twelve Formats, Graded by Age.
A school order is rarely one bag — it is a size-wise split across classes, often with a pouch and lunch bag in the same fabric and crest. Tell us the class-wise numbers and we will quote the whole kit.

Four Age Bands, Four Different Bags.
A school bag is not one product scaled up and down. What a Nursery child needs and what a Class 8 student needs differ in strap geometry, zip gauge, base construction and weight — not just in dimensions. Ordering one pattern in three sizes is the most common mistake in institutional supply.
Pre-Primary
Nursery & KGSmallest panel, lightest fabric, wide soft straps. No small detachable parts, no loose cords. A name and ID panel matters more than compartments.
Priority: light tare weight, safetyPrimary
Classes 1–4Books plus a lunch box and bottle. Contoured padded straps, padded back panel and a reinforced base — this band is where bags fail first.
Priority: strap comfort, base strengthMiddle
Classes 5–8Heaviest book load of school life. Heavier zip gauge, load-bearing seams, chest strap to move weight off the shoulders.
Priority: load distribution, zipsSenior
Classes 9–12Adult-scale bag with a tablet or laptop sleeve. Often specified closer to a college backpack than a school bag.
Priority: device sleeve, stylingOn bag weight: India's national school bag policy sets class-wise guidance for how heavy a loaded school bag should be, generally framed as a small percentage of the child's body weight. Books and water make up most of that, which means the tare weight of the empty bag is one of the few variables a school can actually control. We quote the empty weight of every sample so it can be checked against the current circular before you commit to a size-wise order — please confirm the latest figures with your board or department, as guidance is periodically revised.
What You Can Specify.
School bags carry more weight per rupee than anything else we make, and they are used by children who will not be careful with them. This is the full range we build to — if your tender or school specification lists something not shown, send it and we will confirm before quoting.
| Age bands & sizes | Pre-primary, primary, middle and senior patterns, each cut separately — or built to dimensions you specify per class. |
|---|---|
| Tare weight | The empty weight of the bag, quoted per size on every sample. The one weight variable a school controls once books are fixed. |
| Straps & back panel | Contoured S-curve padded straps, air-mesh back panel, chest strap on middle and senior sizes, adjustable load lifters. |
| Reinforcement | Reinforced or moulded base, bar-tacked strap anchors, double-stitched load seams, protective base feet. |
| Materials | 600D / 900D polyester, canvas, cotton, jute, PU trim. Azo-free dyes and phthalate-free coatings can be specified for children's use. |
| Compartments | Main book section, front organiser, side bottle pocket, insulated tiffin sleeve, tablet or laptop sleeve on senior sizes. |
| Safety features | Reflective piping or panels for road visibility, sewn-in name and ID panel, rounded hardware, no loose cords on pre-primary. |
| Zippers & hardware | #5 or #8 zippers by load, moulded pullers, side-release buckles, rust-resistant fittings for humid coastal use. |
| Branding | School crest embroidered or printed, school name, house colours, woven labels, and per-unit student name panels where required. |
| Colour matching | Pantone-referenced to uniform or house colours; we retain the reference so mid-session top-ups match the first issue. |
| Packing | Poly bag per unit and cartons labelled size-wise or class-wise, so distribution at school does not need sorting. |
| Documentation | GST invoice, e-way bill, packing list, samples for tender evaluation, and export documentation where required. |
Size-Wise Orders, Top-Ups & Session Dates
Quantity Is Size-Wise
A school order is a class-wise split, not a single number. Send the breakdown by class and we quote per size, because a pre-primary bag and a senior bag are different products at different costs.
Mid-Session Top-Ups
New admissions arrive after the main issue. We retain the pattern, fabric shade and crest artwork so a top-up of thirty bags in October matches the four hundred issued in April — instead of arriving visibly different.
Session-Dated Delivery
Session start is a hard deadline. We schedule backwards from your first day — crest approval, sampling, bulk, class-wise packing — and tell you the last safe date to lock artwork.
Institutional & Tender Supply
We supply against school purchase orders, outfitter contracts and government tenders, and can produce samples for evaluation. Send the tender specification and we will quote line by line against it.
Ten Lines That Get You a Firm Price
The class-wise split is the line that matters most. Without it we cannot quote accurately, because each band is a separate pattern with its own material consumption and cost.
- Class-wise quantity breakdown — not just a total
- Age bands required, and dimensions per band if fixed
- Maximum empty bag weight, if your board specifies one
- Material and colour — uniform or house colour reference
- School crest artwork in vector (AI, EPS, PDF or CDR)
- Whether per-student name panels are needed
- Reflective safety trim — required or optional
- Extras in the kit — pouch, lunch bag, shoe bag
- Session start date and the first day of issue
- Packing — class-wise cartons or bulk

Built Like a Supplier You Can Re-Order From.
School supply is annual, deadline-bound and highly visible — parents notice a bag that fails in July. These are the reasons schools and outfitters keep the contract with us.
Separate Patterns, Not One Scaled
Each age band is cut as its own pattern. Strap geometry and base build change with the child, which is not something you get by shrinking a senior bag.
We Quote the Empty Weight
Tare weight is stated per size on every sample, so a school can check the loaded total against its own policy before committing.
Top-Ups That Actually Match
Pattern, shade reference and crest artwork retained, so October admissions do not stand out from the April issue.
Packed Class-Wise
Cartons labelled by class or size so distribution on issue day is handing out boxes, not sorting bags.
Child-Safety Details Specified
Reflective trim, rounded hardware, no loose cords on pre-primary, and azo-free dyes where required — stated in the quotation, not assumed.
One Point of Contact
The same person handles your quote, sample, production update and dispatch — no handovers mid-order.

School Supply Questions
We work in four bands: pre-primary (nursery and KG), primary (classes 1–4), middle (5–8) and senior (9–12). Each is cut as its own pattern because strap geometry, zip gauge and base construction change with the child — not just the dimensions. Send your class-wise numbers and we will propose a size-wise split.
As light as the build allows. India’s national school bag policy gives class-wise guidance for the loaded weight, framed as a small percentage of the child’s body weight, and books and water account for most of it — so the empty bag is one of the few variables a school controls. We state the tare weight of every sample per size. Please confirm the current figures with your board or education department, as the guidance is revised periodically.
Yes — embroidered or printed crest, school name, house colours and woven labels. Send vector artwork (AI, EPS, PDF or CDR). Embroidery reads as more premium and lasts longer through washing; printing is more economical at high volume.
Yes. We can sew in a name and ID panel for handwritten details, or apply printed or embroidered names per unit from a roster spreadsheet and pack each bag labelled for distribution. Per-unit naming adds lead time, so raise it early.
Reflective piping or panels for children walking or cycling, rounded hardware, no loose cords on pre-primary bags, and azo-free dyes or phthalate-free coatings where specified. Tell us if your board or sponsor has a written requirement and we will quote against it.
Yes, and this is where most schools get let down. We retain the pattern, fabric shade reference and crest artwork, so a small top-up later in the session matches the main issue rather than arriving in a visibly different shade.
Work backwards from your first day of issue and allow for crest approval, sampling, bulk production and class-wise packing. Crest approval is where most schools lose time. Tell us your session date and we will give you the last safe date to lock artwork.
Both regularly. We supply against school purchase orders, outfitter contracts, government tenders and CSR distribution programmes, and can produce samples for evaluation. For CSR work tell us the budget per kit and we will propose the most durable build that fits it.
