Leather Bag Manufacturers in Mumbai
We manufacture leather bags and small leather goods in bulk from our own Mumbai workshop — full-grain, top-grain, split, PU and vegan finishes, with debossed or foiled branding. Built for premium corporate gifting, retail private label and export programmes, with no fixed minimum order quantity.

Leather Grades, Named Honestly.
“Genuine leather” is a legal description, not a quality grade — and a lot of quoting in this trade relies on buyers not knowing the difference. We name the grade on the quotation, and if PU suits your budget better we will say so rather than sell you a hide you do not need.
Full-Grain
Top tierThe entire hide surface, nothing sanded away. Shows natural markings, stiffens less over time and develops a patina rather than wearing through.
Use for: flagship gifting, awards, export premium linesTop-Grain
Corporate standardSurface lightly corrected and finished for an even, uniform look. Most corporate buyers land here — consistent across a large run.
Use for: bulk executive gifting, retail private labelSplit / Suede
Value genuineThe lower layer of the hide, finished or napped. Genuine leather at a lower cost, softer and less structured than grain leathers.
Use for: linings, trims, cost-led genuine-leather runsPU & Vegan
Non-leatherCoated synthetic or plant-based alternatives. Fully consistent batch to batch, lower cost, and the right answer when a buyer needs animal-free.
Use for: large volumes, vegan mandates, tight budgetsWhat You Can Specify.
Leather quotations vary more than fabric ones, because grade, tannage, thickness and finish each move the price independently. This is the full range we build to.
| Hide & grade | Buffalo, cow and goat hide in full-grain, top-grain and split. PU and vegan alternatives on the same patterns. |
|---|---|
| Tannage | Chrome-tanned for softness, colour range and consistency; vegetable-tanned for patina and chrome-free requirements. |
| Thickness | Typically 0.8–1.4 mm for bags and 0.6–1.0 mm for wallets and folios. Specify by mm, not by feel. |
| Finish | Smooth, pebbled, milled, pull-up, waxed, nappa, suede, nubuck, embossed croc or saffiano-style patterns. |
| Lining | Suede, cotton twill, jacquard or polyester. Contrast or logo-printed lining on bulk runs. |
| Hardware | Brass, antique brass, nickel, gunmetal or matte black. Zippers, twist locks, buckles, D-rings and feet in a matched finish. |
| Stitching & edges | Machine or saddle stitch, thread colour to your reference, edge painting or burnishing on premium tiers. |
| Colour | Pantone-referenced dyeing on bulk runs. Note that natural hide takes dye with slight variation — a controlled range, not a flat print. |
| Branding | Blind deboss, foil stamp (gold, silver, rose gold), hot stamp, laser etch, metal plate, embossed patch or stitched woven label. |
| Compliance | Azo-free dyes, chrome-VI limits and REACH-aligned processing can be specified for EU and UK shipments — confirm requirements at enquiry so we source the right hide. |
| Packaging | Dust bag, tissue, rigid gift box, printed sleeve, hang-tag, care card, barcode and SKU labelling. |
| Documentation | GST invoice, e-way bill, packing list, and export documentation for international consignments. |
MOQ, Swatches, Lead Time & Export
Order Quantity
No fixed MOQ, though leather behaves differently to fabric — hides are bought whole, so very small runs carry a higher per-unit cost. Ask for pricing at two or three quantities and the break becomes obvious.
Swatches Before Sampling
We send physical hide swatches in your shortlisted grades and finishes first. Choosing leather from a screen is the most common cause of a rejected sample.
Lead Time
Longer than fabric. Hide sourcing, dyeing and hand-finishing all add time, and vegetable-tanned or specific Pantone dyeing adds more. Confirmed in writing at sample approval.
Dispatch & Export
Delivery across Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai, pan-India freight for bulk, and export documentation for overseas buyers and buying houses.
Ten Lines That Get You a Firm Price
If you are unsure about grade, give us a target price per piece instead — we will come back with the best hide that budget supports rather than guessing at a spec.
- Quantity — and any tiers you want priced separately
- Product format — laptop bag, briefcase, duffle, wallet, folio
- Leather grade, or a target price per piece and let us recommend
- Genuine hide, PU or vegan — and whether that is a hard requirement
- Thickness in mm, if your spec sheet states one
- Finish and colour — Pantone reference if you have it
- Hardware finish — brass, nickel, gunmetal or matte black
- Branding method — deboss, foil, metal plate or laser
- Domestic or export, and destination country for compliance
- Packaging — dust bag, rigid gift box or bulk carton

Built Like a Supplier You Can Re-Order From.
Leather is where buyers get burned most often — on grade, on shade consistency and on lead time. These are the reasons our leather clients reorder.
Swatches Before You Commit
You choose the hide in your hand, not on a screen. Shortlisted grades and finishes are couriered before we cut anything.
Grade Named on the Quotation
Full-grain, top-grain, split or PU — stated in writing, so you can compare our quote against another on equal terms.
Our Own Workshop
Cutting, skiving, stitching, edge finishing and branding in house — leather work is where subcontracting shows up most in the finish.
Export-Ready Processing
Azo-free dyes, chrome-VI limits and REACH-aligned requirements specified at sourcing rather than discovered at customs.
Reorder Consistency
Approved swatches and dye references retained, so next season's run sits beside this one without an obvious shade jump.
One Point of Contact
The same person handles your swatch, quote, sample, production update and dispatch — no handovers mid-order.

Leather Sourcing Questions
“Genuine leather” only confirms the material came from a hide — it says nothing about grade. Full-grain uses the intact hide surface and ages best; top-grain is lightly corrected for consistency across a bulk run; split is the lower layer at lower cost; PU is a coated synthetic. We name the grade on every quotation so you can compare quotes fairly.
Yes, and we recommend it. Physical swatches in your shortlisted grades, finishes and shades are couriered before sampling. Approving leather from photographs is the single most common cause of a rejected sample.
Hides are bought whole and cut around natural defects, so material yield is lower and wastage is real. Add hand finishing, edge work and heavier hardware and the cost gap is structural, not a markup.
No fixed MOQ, but economics differ from fabric. Small runs cost more per unit because a hide cannot be part-purchased. Ask for two or three quantity bands and the break point becomes clear.
Send the physical sample. We assess grade, thickness, tannage, finish and hardware, then confirm what we can match and where we would recommend a change — before quoting.
Within a controlled range. Natural hide absorbs dye with slight variation, unlike printed fabric, so a small tonal spread is inherent to genuine leather. If you need absolute uniformity across thousands of units, PU is the honest answer.
Blind deboss is the most understated and premium. Foil stamping in gold, silver or rose gold reads more clearly at a distance. Metal plates suit awards. Laser etch works well on PU where deboss can flatten.
We can specify azo-free dyes, chrome-VI limits and REACH-aligned processing at the sourcing stage for EU and UK shipments, and provide the documentation your consignment requires. Tell us the destination country at enquiry so the right hide is bought from the start.
